SN74AXC8T245RJWR Product Details

SN74AXC8T245RJWR Description

Device SN74AXC8T245RJWR is an 8-bit non-inverting bus transceiver that corrects voltage level mismatch between devices operating at the most recent voltage nodes (0.7 V, 0.8 V, and 0.9 V) and devices operating at the industry standard voltage nodes (1.8 V, 2.5 V, and 3.3 V) and vice versa.

VCCA and VCCB, two independent power supply rails that operate as low as 0.65 V, are used to power the gadget. The VCCA, which accepts any input voltage between 0.65 V and 3.6 V, is designed to track data pins A1 through A8. VCCB, which accepts any input voltage from 0.65 V to 3.6 V, is intended to be tracked by data pins B1 through B8.

The SN74AXC8T245RJWR device is intended for asynchronous data bus connection. Depending on the logic level of the direction-control inputs (DIR1 and DIR2), the device transmits data either from the B bus to the A bus or from the A bus to the B bus. In order to effectively isolate the buses, the output-enable (OE) input is used to turn off the outputs.

The control pins (DIR and OE) of the SN74AXC8T245RJWR gadget are made to refer to VCCA.

This device meets the requirements for Ioff applications involving partial power reduction. When the device is turned off, the outputs are disabled by the Ioff circuitry. Preventing current backflow into the device avoids device damage.

All level shifter outputs are deactivated and put into a high-impedance condition by the VCC isolation function if either VCC input supply is below 100 mV.

OE should be connected to VCCA using a pullup resistor, with the minimum value defined by the driver's ability to sink current, in order to ensure the high-impedance state of the level shifter I/Os during power up or power down.
