The TL431AQDBZR is an adjustable Shunt Regulator with specified thermal stability. With the help of two external resistors, the output voltage can be adjusted to any value between Vref (about 2.5V) and 36V. The output impedance of the Voltage Reference TL431AQDBZR is typically 0.2R. Because the active output circuitry gives a very sharp turn-ON characteristic, this device is a good replacement for zener diodes in many applications, including onboard regulation, adjustable power supplies, and switching power supplies.
