The TPL7407LPWR is an NMOS transistor array with a high voltage and current. Seven NMOS transistors with high-voltage outputs and common-cathode clamp diodes for switching inductive loads make up this device. A single NMOS channel can handle a maximum drain current of 600 mA. To provide maximal drive strength across all GPIO ranges (1.8 V – 5.0 V), new regulations and driving circuits were included. For larger current capability, the transistors can be paralleled.
The TPL7407LPWR's main advantage over a Bipolar Darlington implementation is its enhanced power efficiency and decreased leakage. Traditional relay drivers with currents less than 250 mA per channel dissipate less than half the power as users with lower VOL.
