Description
The supervisory circuits of the TPS3808G33MDBVREP microprocessor monitor system voltages between 0.4 and 5.0 V, asserting an open-drain RESET signal when the SENSE voltage falls below a predefined threshold or when the manual reset (MR) pin goes to a logic low. After the SENSE voltage and manual reset (MR) return over their respective thresholds, the RESET output remains low for the user-adjustable delay time.
To achieve 0.5 percent threshold accuracy for VIT ≤ 3.3 V, the TPS3808G33MDBVREP uses a precision reference. By disconnecting the CT pin, the reset delay time can be set to 20 milliseconds, 300 milliseconds by connecting the CT pin to VDD via a resistor, or user-adjusted between 1.25 milliseconds and 10 milliseconds by connecting the CT pin to an external capacitor. With a typical quiescent current of 2.4 μA, the TPS3808G33MDBVREP is well-suited to battery-powered applications. It comes in compact SOT-23 packaging and is completely defined throughout a temperature range of –55 to +125 degrees Celsius (TJ).
