TPS51216RUKR Description
For DDR2, DDR3, and DDR3L memory systems, the TPS51216 offers a full power supply with the lowest total cost and least amount of physical space. It incorporates a 2-A sink/source tracking LDO (VTT), a buffered low noise reference, and a synchronous buck regulator controller (VDDQ) (VTTREF). For simplicity of usage and quick transient response, the TPS51216 uses D-CAPTM mode in conjunction with 300 kHz/400 kHz frequencies. The good tracking accuracy of the VTTREF is 0.8 percent for VDDQ/2. The VTT only needs 10-mF of ceramic capacitance to achieve 2-A sink/source peak current capabilities. There is also a specific LDO supply input available.
