TPS61165DBVR Description
The TPS61165DBVR device uses an integrated switch field effect transistor with a rated voltage of 40V, which is a boost converter for driving LED in series. The operating speed of the boost converter is
1.2-MHz fixed switching frequency, 1.2 Mel A switching current limit, allows the use of high brightness LED in general lighting.
The default white LED current is set by the external sensor resistor RSET, and the feedback voltage is adjusted to 200mV, as shown in the typical application diagram below. During operation, the light emitting diode current can be controlled by using an one-wire digital interface (EasyScale EasyScale protocol) through the CTRL pin. Or, pulse width modulation
A (PWM) signal may be applied to the CTRL pin through which the duty cycle determines the feedback reference voltage. In digital or PWM mode, the TPS61165 device does not burst LED current; therefore, it does not generate sound noise on the output capacitor. For maximum protection, the device has integrated open-circuit LED protection and the TPS61165 device can be disabled to prevent the output from exceeding its absolute maximum rated voltage under open-circuit LED conditions.
