TPS62180YZFT Product Details
TPS62180YZFT Description
A synchronous dual-phase stepdown DC–DC converter for low profile power rails is the TPS6218x. It operates with two identical, current-balanced, peak current-controlled phases that allow usage in applications with a limited height.
The device is best suited for systems powered by multi-cell Li-Ion batteries or 12-V rails because it has a wide operational input voltage range of 4 V to 15 V. Two phases of 3 A each constantly supply the output current of 6 A, enabling the use of low profile external components. The phases work out of phase, considerably lowering switching noise.
The TPS6218x enters Power Save Mode automatically to preserve maximum efficiency even under extremely light loads. For the whole duty cycle range, it also features an Automatic Efficiency Enhancement (AEETM).
