Description
In a voltage-follower design, the TPS73701DRBR linear low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulators use an NMOS pass element. The output capacitor value and ESR are generally unaffected by this design, allowing for a wide range of load combinations. Even with a modest 1-μF ceramic output capacitor, load transient responsiveness is outstanding. In addition, the NMOS topology provides for very minimal dropout.
The TPS73701DRBR employs a sophisticated BiCMOS technology to achieve great precision while giving low ground pin current and low dropout voltages. When not activated, current consumption is less than 20 nA, making it perfect for portable applications. Thermal shutdown and a foldback current limit protect these devices.
Consider TI's TPS73701DRBR 1 percent overall accuracy, 1-A low-dropout voltage regulators for applications that demand higher output voltage accuracy.
