Low-dropout (LDO) regulator TPS780330220DDCTG4 features adjustable dual-level output voltage levels using the VSET pin and ultralow power consumption.

The dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) capabilities, which offer dual-level output voltages, and ultralow power allow designers to tailor power consumption for particular applications. When the CPU is in sleep mode, designers can now switch to a lower voltage level in a battery-powered architecture, lowering the overall system power usage. The two voltage levels are available on fixed-output voltage devices and are predetermined by the manufacture. They are stored using EPROM.

The TI MSP430 and other comparable products are compatible with the TPS780330220DDCTG4 LDO. Standard CMOS logic is compatible with the enable pin. Additionally, the TPS780330220DDCTG4 has a thermal shutdown and current limit to safeguard the component in case of a problem.
