TPS7A3901DSCT Description


The TPS7A3901DSCT device is a dual, monolithic, high power supply rejection ratio, positive and negative low dropout (LDO) voltage regulator capable of generating (and absorbing) up to 150 mA. The stabilized output can be adjusted independently and externally to symmetrical or asymmetric voltages, making the device an ideal bipolar power supply for signal conditioning. The positive and negative outputs of TPS7A39 are tracked proportionally to each other during startup to alleviate floating conditions and other common power scheduling problems in dual-rail systems. The negative output can be adjusted up to 0V, which expands the common mode range of the single power supply amplifier. The TPS7A39 also has a high power supply rejection ratio to eliminate power noise, such as switching noise, that may affect signal integrity. Both regulators are controlled by a single positive logic enable pin and are used to interface with standard digital logic. Capacitor programmable soft-start function controls inrush current and start-up time. The internal reference voltage of the TPS7A39 can be covered by an external reference voltage to achieve accurate output, output voltage margin, or track other power supplies. In addition, the TPS7A39 has a buffered reference output and can be used as a reference voltage for other components in the system. These features make TPS7A39 a powerful and simplified solution for power operational amplifiers, digital-to-analog converters (DAC) and other precision analog circuits.
