The TPS7A4501KTTR is a rapid transient response low-dropout (LDO) regulator. With a dropout voltage of 300mV, the device can deliver 1.5A of output current. The operating quiescent current is 1 mA, and in shutdown, it drops to less than 1 mA. Quiescent current is well-controlled, and unlike other regulators, it does not rise in dropout. The output voltage ranges between 1.21 and 20V. With output capacitance as low as 10F, the regulator is stable. Small ceramic capacitors can be used instead of the ESR that is commonly utilized with other regulators. Reverse-battery protection, current limiting, heat limiting, and reverse-current protection are all part of the internal protection circuitry. Both reverse input and reverse output voltages are secured against the device.
