TPS7B4253QDDARQ1 Product Details
TPS7B4253QDDARQ1 Description
The power supply for automobile off-board sensors and modest current off-board modules comes from the main board through a long connection. In such instances, protection for the off-board loads is required in the power devices to prevent onboard components from being damaged by a short to GND or a short to battery produced by a broken cable. To ensure high accuracy of data collecting, off-board sensors require the same steady power supply as onboard components.
The TPS7B4253QDDARQ1 is a 45-V load dump developed for automotive applications. The device can be used as a voltage tracker or as a tracking low-dropout (LDO) regulator to create a closed power loop for off-board sensors with an onboard main supply. A reference voltage at the ADJ pin correctly regulates the device's output.
The device has a 4-mV ultralow tracking tolerance between the ADJ and FB pins throughout temperature to enable an accurate power supply to off-board modules. Under reverse polarity conditions, the back-to-back PMOS topology eliminates the requirement for an external diode. Thermal shutdown, inductive clamp, overload, and short-to-battery protection are also included in the TPS7B4253QDDARQ1 to protect onboard components during harsh situations.
