UCC21521DWR Description
The UCC21521 is an isolated dual-channel gate driver with peak currents of 4 A for the source and 6 A for the sink. With best-in-class propagation delay and pulse-width distortion, it is made to drive power MOSFETs, IGBTs, and SiC MOSFETs up to 5-MHz.
A 5.7-kVRMS reinforced isolation barrier with a minimum of 100-V/ns common-mode transient immunity separates the input side from the two output drivers (CMTI). A working voltage of up to 1500 VDC is permitted between the two secondary-side drivers due to internal functional isolation.
Each driver can be set up as a half-bridge driver with programmable dead time, two low-side drivers, two high-side drivers, or any combination of these (DT). When the EN pin is pulled low, both outputs are switched off simultaneously, but when it is left open or pulled high, normal functioning is possible.
