It is designed to provide optimal performance by utilizing the Tape & Reel (TR) package. There are 5 terminations in this voltage regulator. As a matter of fact, the type of analog IC that this voltage regulator 12v is equipped with is called SWITCHING REGULATOR. An input voltage of 3.6V is required for switching regulator operation.
