It is important to protect PTC thermistors from damage by placing them in 0805 (2012 Metric) packages. In order to protect themselves from damage, these PTC thermistors are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR). It is advisable to set the PTC thermistors to -55°C as the minimum operating temperature. A temperature of 150°C should not be exceeded during operation of this thermistor. This power loss should be transferred and conducted by the thermistor to the circuit without overheating. Typically, this thermistor can deliver 40V voltage.
