To protect these photodiodes from damage, the Bulk is used. For safety reasons, the photodiodes are packaged in Radial, 5mm Dia (T 1 3/4) packages. When photodiodes are continuously reverse-biased, the maximum voltage they can withstand is 50V. Continuous reverse-bias should not exceed 50V for the photodiodes. Despite the absence of light, photodiodes make 2nA current.
