In order to prevent damage, these photodiodes are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR). It is necessary to enclose the photodiodes in TO-236-3, SC-59, SOT-23-3 packages for safety purposes. As long as the photodiodes are operated in reverse- bias mode continuously, their maximum voltage is 50V. It is important that the reverse-bias voltage of the photodiodes do not exceed 50V continuously. There are 3 pins on the photodiodes. A photodiode conducts 2nA current without light input.
