A Tape & Reel (TR) package protects these photodiodes from damage. In order to ensure their safety, the photodiodes are packaged into 1210 (3225 Metric) packages. A photodiode can withstand a maximum voltage of 32V when operating in reverse-bias mode continuously. Reverse-bias photodiodes should not be operated above 32V permanently. Make sure photodiodes work with 170V breakdown voltage. Without light input, a photodiode will produce 2nA current.
