PDB-C156F Overview
Bulk is used to protect the photodiodes from damage. A safety package containing the photodiodes is provided for their protection. When photodiodes are continuously reverse-biased, the maximum voltage they can withstand is 50V. When the photodiodes are reverse-biased, the voltage should never exceed 50V. It's best to have the breakdown voltage at 75V to make sure the photodiodes work. The current in a photodiode is 2nA even when there is no light input.
