To protect them from damage, these photodiodes are packaged in the Bulk. For safety reasons, the photodiodes are packaged in TO-5 Variant, 2 Leads, Lens Top Metal Can packages. When reverse-biased continuously, photodiodes can withstand a maximum voltage of 30V. When operating in reverse-bias mode, the photodiodes should not exceed 30V. In the absence of light input, a photodiode produces 2nA current.
