The photodiodes are packaged in the Bulk in order to prevent damage to them. For safety reasons, the photodiodes are packaged in TO-46 packages. When operating in reverse bias mode continuously, the photodiodes can withstand 75V voltage. In reverse-bias mode, the voltage for the photodiodes should not exceed 75V continuously. There are 3 pins on the photodiodes. A circuit containing photodiodes can release 150mW heat. During operation of a photodiode, the temperature should not exceed 125°C. But the photodiodes should operate at a temperature of -55°C. Generally, the maximum amount of heat released by photodiodes is 150mW. It is possible to operate the photodiodes satisfactorily with the reverse voltage of 75V in the DC circuit. It's important to have 75V breakdown voltage to make photodiodes work. A photodiode is capable of conducting 20nA current even without light input.
