The Bulk protects these photodiodes from damage. In order to ensure safety, the photodiodes are packaged in TO-46-2 Metal Can packages. The maximum voltage the photodiodes can withstand in reverse-bias mode is 120V. A continuous reverse-bias voltage of 120V should be maintained for the photodiodes. Despite the absence of light, photodiodes make 50pA current.
