MC36218 Overview

Keeping PTC thermistors in SMD/SMT packages prevents them from being damaged. Packaged in the Cut Tape for safety, these PTC thermistors are designed to perform at high temperatures. Ensure that the PTC thermistors are set to -40°C as their minimum operating temperature. In order for this thermistor to work properly, the operating temperature must not exceed 85°C. When operating, PTC thermistors could deliver a voltage of 24V. Whenever this thermistor works, it can supply 24V voltage. The DC circuit uses thermistors with a 24V voltage rating. A PTC thermistor should produce 1W heat. Ildeally, PTC thermistors should operate at no more than 40A current. A reliable performance can be achieved by using a thermistor that supplies a maximum voltage of 24V.
