KD1084AD2M33 low dropout voltage regulator is a type of linear DC voltage regulator, which is also used to provide stable DC voltage power supply. Compared with general linear DC voltage regulators, it can work with smaller output and input voltage differences. Its working principle is basically the same as that of a general linear DC regulator, except that the power at the output end of the low-dropout regulator is changed from a common-collector structure of NPN transistors to a structure of PNP open-collector structure (for the use of bipolar transistors). Under this architecture, the control electrode of the power transistor can make the transistor in a saturated conduction state as long as the voltage difference to the ground is used. Therefore, the input terminal only needs to be higher than the output terminal than the saturation voltage of the power transistor, and the regulator can stabilize the output voltage.
