An ultra-low-power MSP430TM microcontroller for capacitive touch sensing, the MSP430FR2676TPT has CapTIvate touch technology for applications including buttons, slides, wheels, and proximity. The most integrated and self-sufficient capacitive-touch solution on the market, with great reliability and noise immunity at the lowest power, is offered by MSP430 MCUs with CapTIvate technology. For optimum versatility, TI's capacitive touch technology allows simultaneous self-capacitance and mutual-capacitance electrodes on the same design. With CapTIvate technology, MSP430 MCUs can work through thick glass, plastic enclosures, metal, and wood, as well as in adverse environments like greasy, wet, and filthy ones.
