SN65HVD1781QDRQ1 manufactured by Texas Instruments is a member of fault-protected RS-485 transceivers with 3.3-V to 5-V operation. It is specifically designed to survive overvoltage faults such as direct shorts to power supplies, miswiring faults, connector failures, cable crushes, and tool mis-applications. It is characterized by high levels of protection to the human body-model specification. Pin compatible with the industry-standard SN75176 transceiver, it is able to drop-in upgrades in most systems.
