TL1431 Regulator Description
The TL1431 is a precision programmable reference with defined thermal stability in automotive, commercial, and military temperature ranges. With the help of two external resistors, the output voltage can be adjusted to any value between VI(ref) (about 2.5 V) and 36 V. (see Figure 25). The output impedance of this device is typically 0.2. The device's active output circuitry has a sharp turnon characteristic, making it an effective replacement for Zener diodes and other types of references in applications such as onboard regulation, adjustable power supplies, and switching power supplies. The TL1431-sp is the SPICE model of TL1431.
