The TMS570LS0714 component is a high-performance automotive-grade ARM? Cortex?-R-based MCU from the Hercules TMS570 series. Functional safety applications developed in accordance with ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 can be developed with the use of thorough documentation, tools, and software. With the Hercules TMS570 LaunchPad Development Kit, evaluation may begin right away. For-chip diagnostic features on the TMS570LS0714 device include dual CPUs operating in lockstep, built-in self-test logic for the CPU and memory, ECC on both the flash and the SRAM, parity on peripheral memory, and loopback capabilities on the majority of peripheral I/Os.

With versions that can operate up to 160 MHz and provide up to 265 DMIPS, the TMS570LS0714 device combines the ARM Cortex-R4F floating-point CPU, which provides an effective 1.66 DMIPS/MHz. The big-endian [BE32] word invariant format is supported by the TMS570 device.
