TPS61099YFFR Description


To achieve maximum efficiency with minimal quiescent current, the TPS61099YFFR boost converter employs a hysteretic control scheme. With the fixed output voltage version, it consumes only 1-A quiescent current under light load and can reach up to 75 percent efficiency under 10-A load. It can also convert 3.3-V to 5-V at up to 300 mA output current and achieve up to 93 percent efficiency at 200 mA load.

For various applications, the TPS61099YFFR supports both Down mode and Pass-Through operations. Even when the input voltage is higher than the output voltage, the output voltage can be regulated at the target value in Down mode. The output voltage follows the input voltage in Pass-Through mode. When VIN > VOUT + 0.5 V, the TPS61099YFFR exits Down mode and enters Pass-Through mode. When disabled, the TPS61099YFFR provides true shutdown, which disconnects the load from the input supply to reduce current usage.
