It is important to protect PTC thermistors from damage by placing them in 0805 (2125 Metric) packages. In order to protect themselves from damage, these PTC thermistors are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR). 2 is the termination of the PTC thermistor. These thermistors have 2 pins. This power loss should be transferred and conducted by the thermistor to the circuit without overheating. Thermal conductivity of PTC thermistors is 100mW. This thermistor must be operated at 40V voltage in order to be reliable.
