The Bulk protects these photodiodes from damage. In order to ensure safety, the photodiodes are packaged in Radial packages. The maximum voltage the photodiodes can withstand in reverse-bias mode is 100V. A continuous reverse-bias voltage of 100V should be maintained for the photodiodes. Photodiode operation should take place at temperatures below 100°C. There should, however, be a minimum operating temperature of -40°C for the photodiodes. Photodiodes need a breakdown voltage of 100V. Despite the absence of light, photodiodes make 150nA current.
