The photodiodes are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR) in order to prevent damage to them. In order to ensure safety, the photodiodes are packaged in TO-236-3, SC-59, SOT-23-3 packages. Reverse-bias photodiodes can withstand a maximum of 50V in continuous reverse-bias mode. A reverse-bias photodiode shouldn't exceed 50V continuously in reverse-bias mode. It is possible for a photodiode to operate at 2nA current even if no light is provided.
