The photodiodes are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR) for protection. To ensure safety, photodiodes are put into TO-92 packages. There are 2 pins on the photodiodes. Photodiodes on a circuit are capable of emitting 150mW heat. Photodiode operation should take place at temperatures below 85°C. There should, however, be a minimum operating temperature of -40°C for the photodiodes. A reverse anode voltage of 32V should be applied to the photodiodes. The photodiodes were capable of supplying 32V voltage when operating in reverse-bias mode. The photodiode will operate at 30nA current even in the absence of light input.
