A Bulk package protects these photodiodes from damage. In order to ensure their safety, the photodiodes are packaged into DIP packages. A photodiode can withstand a maximum voltage of 10V when operating in reverse-bias mode continuously. Reverse-bias photodiodes should not be operated above 10V permanently. While operating photodiodes, the temperature should not exceed 40°C. However, the minimum operating temperature for the photodiodes should be set at -10°C.
