As this regulator voltage is equipped with an analog IC of the type SWITCHING REGULATOR, it is a SWITCHING REGULATOR-type voltage regulator. The harley voltage regulator is available as a 8-DIP (0.300, 7.62mm) package to save space. A voltage regulator 12v such as this one fits the Through Hole mounting bracket. With its peak reflow temperature of 240, this voltage regulator is essentially indestructible. To meet the switching regulator operation requirements, a nominal input voltage of 3V is provided.
