SN65HVD231D developed by Texas Instruments belongs to the family of controller area network (CAN) transceivers compatible With ISO 11898-2 Standard. It is designed data rates up to 1 megabit per second (Mbps) and can be used with the Texas Instruments 3.3 V µPs, MCUs and DSPs with CAN controllers, or with equivalent protocol controller devices. With a suite of protection functions, including thermal shutdown, open circuit fail-safe design, etc. Its specific characteristics make it well-suited for applications employing the CAN serial communication physical layer in accordance with the ISO 11898 standard.
