TIP142G Overview
In this device, the DC current gain is 1000 @ 5A 4V, which is the ratio between the base current and the collector current. With a collector emitter saturation voltage of 2V, it offers maximum design flexibility. When VCE saturation is 3V @ 40mA, 10A, transistor means Ic has reached transistors maximum value (saturated).Single BJT transistor is essential to maintain the continuous collector voltage at 10A to achieve high efficiency. An emitter's base voltage can be kept at 5V to gain high efficiency. As defined by current rating, the maximum current a fuse can carry without deteriorating too much is 10A for this device. In this part, there is a transition frequency of 4MHz.A maximum collector current of 10A volts is possible.
