As the DC current gain is the ratio of the collector current to the base current, for this device the DC current gain is 120 @ 500mA 5V.A collector emitter saturation voltage of -150mV ensures maximum design flexibility.Saturation of VCE means Ic is at its maximum value (saturated), and VCE saturation (Max) is 500mV @ 100mA, 1A.A high level of efficiency can be achieved if the base voltage of the emitter remains at -5V.As defined by current rating, the maximum current a fuse can carry without deteriorating too much is -3A for this device.In extreme cases, the collector current can be as low as 3A volts.
