2N5308 Overview
The DC current gain is the ratio of the base current to the collector current βdc = Ic/Ib and the DC current gain for this device is 7000 @ 2mA 5V.As it features a collector emitter saturation voltage of 1.4V, it allows for maximum design flexibility.Saturation of VCE means Ic is at its maximum value (saturated), and VCE saturation (Max) is 1.4V @ 200μA, 200mA.The emitter base voltage can be kept at 12V for high efficiency.A fuse's current rating indicates how much current it will be able to carry over an indefinite period, and this device has a current rating of (1.2A).Product comes in the supplier's device package TO-92-3.There is a 40V maximal voltage in the device due to collector-emitter breakdown.During maximum operation, collector current can be as low as 1.2A volts.
